Default Headphone amp for AKG-K701

I think I have decided to buy the AKG K701's. Unfortunately that leaves me very little for a headphone amp. So, I was wondering if a PRO-JECT HEAD BOX MK2 would suffice till I could affored something better? Would I be able to drive them to acceptable levels?

It's certainly a nice looking little amp, that's for sure. I'm sure it would hold you over for a while until you can save up for something better. Or you could look into buying something used.

BTW, excellent choice on headphones!

They need an tube amp, look at Darkvoice336. There are a lot of threads about it and the amp isnt that expensive.
