I just got them and love them, but I was wondering, I was going to use them for games and wanted to know if they can have 5.1 if I use a amp that has dolby encoding and all that stuff.
I use regular (non 5.1) headphones (Philips SHP805) with my X-Fi and when it's on game mode and CMSS3D enabled I can pinpoint enemies in FPS with ease.
No, I am going to use it with an xbox 360. I was planning on hooking that up to an amp and using an optical cable from the amp to the xbox. Would that help or is that all a waste of money?
Like i said in the other thread they are not 5.1. they are stereo headphones designed with music in mind. I recently got the 595's and looked at specs quite a bit.
the only people who make 5.1 headphones make them with pc's in mind not music. you can fake it with the x-fi's upmixing ability but that is about all.
