As of 31/03/2008, the K701 has discontinued manufacture and distribution, pending release of the K702. If you still wish to order the K701, please let us know and we will place a special order, pending availability.
hmm. interesting.

at the same time, i don't see any other info about this through google searches other than from this one AU website, so who knows.

There always was something weird with k701. Why design and advertise your flagship phone with iPod stylistics? It even do not fit the ipod technically and will sound awful out of it. So strange...

Just because something is white does not mean it was designed with the iPod in mind.

I personally think the K701 looks pretty sharp, but I can see how others wouldn't.

I read that on AKG forums as well about a week back that K701 are discontinued .

But on akg.com there was ipod mentions in advertisiments of k701 awhile ago.
