$15 for two miniscule pieces of plastic seems expensive to me...the Apple earbuds aren't even worth that much, but if you're an Apple-obsessed crazy person (and there are many) I guess they're worth it

past: Shure E5c (bad, definitely not worth $4-500; accurate and detailed, but weak highs, no depth, and plasticy character),
Sony MDR-V700 (aweful; bass-heavy, muddy, weak highs, unnecessarily heavy and uncomfortable)
Sony MDR-7506 (acceptable; accurate, but poor depth and harsh character, especially in the highs, however worth the cheap price)

iPodlounge is quite terrible when it comes to audio reviews.

Considering the production cost per part must be under $0.25, yeah.
If $15 bought you the molded-rubber cup-holder iPod stand, a molded-rubber iPod case, and two molded-rubber EarJams, it'd be a decent value. Their cost would still be near (if not under) a dollar (packaging/distribution/advertising excluded), and we'd feel much better treated.
But $15 for something which is technically about as demanding to produce as a rubber band is absurd.

I got these for a trip where I needed to pack small and light:
Ipod Mini, Apple earbuds.
These Earjams got there just before take off and I was immediately unsatisfied and wrote to griffin.
I decided to give them one last shot "in the air", but they were just as pathetic!
They basically kill ALL treble above like 3k.
No cymbals, acoustic guitar twang, and Vocal quality.
I then tried taking my leftover Ear "gels" from my JABRA Cell phone Earpiece.
These worked much better! and were way more comfortable!
BUT, in both cases: EarJam and JABRA, the "closed" seal was actually too tight for the delicate Apple driver. Mid flight I noticed that between the pressure of these things "jammed" in your ear, if you removed them too forcibly (as I did when the flight attendant came blaring over the movie..) I destroyed one ear of the apples. The driver was basically "crinkling" in my ear and had to be "knocked" for me to get any bass response after that.
Definately spend the money on a full upgrade to better headphones.
The earjams, by the way, did fit on some Sony / Pioneer, etc. earbuds (not perfectly) but had the same result to trashing ANY slight quality of sound you get from these "buds".
I am never gonna use anything but my ALESSANDRO MS-2's with my ipod mini from now on!

I have had both the Earjams and the Jabra's and I wouldn't recommend either. The Earjams use the same eartips as the Sony EX series, but because of how big they make the actually buds it's hard to get them seated far enough in your ear. They also make the sound VERY muddy, and all bass. There is NO treble, and horrible mids. I think they make the somewhat decent sounding apple buds sound horrible. They WILL try and recreate a subwoofer, if you are looking bass accross the board and nothing else. The Jabra I only had for a day and then decided I didn't like them. I didn't find and real increase in sound and found them much more uncomfortable than just the apple buds. They may have just not fit MY ear correctly.
I would recommend that instead of anyone buying these things, spend $15 more, and get some Sony EX's that sound one million times better than earjams. The only way I'd get these is if you already have the Sony's, and find the Earjams for <$5, then you could get some cheap replacement eartips.
xluben NOT recommended (actually recommended against) - Griffin EarJams

This thread seems to be one of the most viewed & most posted in of the Griffin EarJam specific threads on this forum so I thought I would post this here.
The EarJams have been on Amazon.com's top 5 selling headphones list for a while now. It is one of those things that it makes me want to say that it makes me want to cry, it really doesn't bother me that much, but it does make me laugh at whoever is buying these things. Maybe that is my ignorance, maybe it is my feeling that I am better than them, but I usualy am an easy going guy so a little judgement should do me some good. What the hell is wrong with these F*^*ing *****holes, don't they know that they are F!*#ing with some F*$&ed up S*&^ here. Those things aren't the way to go, no no no no no, mama meia, mama meia, mama meia let me go....uh...I mean I wish that something like the Sennhesier MX(anything) was in their place or something a little respectable not these pieces of crap. Like I said, I don't have a place to judge because I have never herd the EarJams, so I shouldn't be talking, but I just felt like talking about something I had no authority on & this seemed like something that I might have a high probability of taking the favored side on.

I just got a pair of Earjams to couple with my MX500 and got very positive results. The sound is very big, something like from my HD600, and the high is still OK. I did a minor mod on these things by putting in a slice of foam with a hole in the middle between MX500 and Earjam. I think this mod make the MX500 fits better with Earjam and the center hole in the foam saves the high.
Overall, the investment worths every cent of it.
