Congrats. Darth Beyers are amazing when properly amped.

I believe those are mine on the left. It's odd because I think I read that Xiode got V2 and I'm fairly certain that Larry told me at the time of my order that mine would be V3.

There was a weeks dfifference b/w the V2 and V3 and no difference in the sound anyway so don't bother with that.

The MisterX XP is an EXCELLENT amp for the $$. He makes a desktop model too I think. Both are very affordable and awesome for Darths.

So far I have no complaints what-so-ever about the MisterX XP amp. I love the sound of the Darth's with the unit and I can't imagine what it will be like as I move up in the head-fi world. I'm actually debating wether or not to go Imod or just buy a Opera with DAC and use all my sources with it. Soooo many choices.

I want Darths...I loved the sound of a Hornet (no M) with DT770/250's...I wanna hear 250ohm Darths with a Hornet M or vinyl. I don't think I would ever leave my house, lol.

Those are yours on the left! I found the exact date of the first shipped V3's, these are them! I didn't sell the proto Flame Purple Heart pair till a week later, which is why I was confused. After sorting through old emails and head-fi, I found this...

I posted this on 10/12/06... Current paid patrons are getting V3, and any builds from this current week and onward get V3 automatically.

Since I keep all my emails, I'm able to look stuff up like dates and such. I didn't see any mention of them being V3. I thought these were the last V2's, but they are the first two production V3... I apologize to Xiode for being a week off my calculation when he emailed.

I went for a drier sound with V2, then V3 leaning to richer in the lower mids with more air in the feel. Open expands on that, though my personal preference is solid closed V3... I like the fun feel and particular balance of their sound for the music I listen to the most

Just to be clear, in the post above I am declaring your Darth Bloodwoods to be V3

Glad to hear it from the Master himself - after all that recent rave about open Darths, I got feeling that V3 closed cans are taking second row seat in Darths lineup.

And Corda Opera Analog is on its way from Jan to replace CanAmp. Yaeaahh.

Ha! I didn't know I owned one of the first two pairs of V3's! I should have kept them just for bragging rights

Thanks for taking the time to double check your records Larry.

Larry,

Thanks so much for spending the time to clear up my minor confusion. I never meant this issue to be a big deal but I'm glad you figured it out.

I knew those were mine from the grain, easy to tell.
