Question Full sized phones for under $100.00

What is a good pair of circumaural closed headphones that go completely over the ear? I need to keep noise out as well as listen to music.

well there are lots of possible choices...what kind of music do you listen to? Are they only going to be used for music, or will they be used for gaming and movies too?

For games and music, probably the audio-technica A700's. Here's a good thread that you should read first though. Which Headphones? - [H]ard|Forum

Roland RH-50, RH-200. Best value in closed headphones under $100. RH-50 are especially cheap (less than $50). RH-200 are the "more serious" closed model, possibly best overall value under $100.

Denon AH-D501 - decent, but more expensive than RH-50 and less even in sound. ~$70 and up.

Equation Audio RP-21 - those are somewhat popular, possibly the best isolation for less than $100 (under $90, $80 if lucky). Also bassheadish (especially amplified). They're actually nicer without an amp than with one. Most efficient circumaural closed headphones, will shout even from a PCDP.
