Default Fake Shures E2C's

Has anyone bought shure e2c's in this kinda package? http://cgi.ebay.com/BRAND-NEW-IN-BOX...QQcmdZViewItem

Notice how the earbuds are on the top left, but There are also shure e2c's that are in the middle of the package. Has anyone purchased ones in that kinda packaging?. I went to the Apple store today to check out the e2c's, and the earbuds were also placed in the middle of the package instead of top left.

LOL, pwn'd.

The older packaging were indeed like that but they changed it once the black colour (or G series) came out.

Indeed, the E2 packaging I got directly from Shure for warranty replacement was the same packaging.

technically that's the Shure e2, which was originally marketed as a pro-audio stage IEM. The e2c is the "Consumer" grade version of the e2. Packaging is different. Plain looking red for the e2 while the e2c is packaging is black, nicer looking and I believe has referneces to MP3 on it somewhere.

I think the included accessories might be different between the e2 and e2c (someone double check me on this). The phones themselves are identical.

The e2g is the latest rendition. Its the black one, and it also has different packaging from its two predecessors. I think the e2g is the only one that includes the black sillicone soft-tips (someone double check me on this)

lol. Nah, cause you thought they might be fake.

If they were fake, there sure must be a HELL lot of effort.

If you have a choice between the old style or the new style I'd recommend grabbing the newer one. I'm on my fifth pair of E2c's (old style), all of which including this pair have cracked and shorted out about 1.5 inches down the wire from the earbuds. I haven't had the opportunity or inclination to take these in and switch them for the new type yet. Might just return them and try the new Sennheiser IEMs.

Mine had this problem too. the rubber wire insulation dries out and it cracks.
