Default does the cable on the grado cups move up and down?

i noticed this on my recabled rs2.. they can move up in the cups... but was just wondering if this is the same with stock grado cables... and if so, what would happen if you yank hard... because these ones seem strong for some reason

They move a little bit, but they have a cable tie and/or a blob of epoxy on the cable inside the cup, so it shouldn't pull out under normal conditions.

My sr60s have a cable tie, but I recabled them and used a small piece of heatshrink to ensure they had a tight fit, and used a cable tie as well.
