Seriously, this looks to be vastly more interesting than the perennially overpriced Ultrasones; at least here, you get hardwood, and the chance for increased headroom.

Interesting about the "free edge" diaphragms. Don't think I've seen that before, although the patent is from 1982 ( here). Anyone know of any other headphones that use a free edge diaphragm?

I hope these would be "the" headphones I'm buying next. Can't wait for the reviews.
I would love to see some new models from AT, Sennheiser and JVC/Victor.

No reason to update for Senn or JVC if everybody praises the HD and DX to the skies and while they go like hotcakes - new or 2nd-hand.
