Default Break-in - settle the score

I've ordered some Koss Sporta Pros (all my budget can stretch to right now), and would like some advice on break-in. I've searched and read a bunch of threads and haven't found a definitive answer.

I've managed to download some test tracks: one is a sweep from 20kHz to 20Hz, one sounds like static (file name 20Hz to 20kHz), and one is varying low bass (gradually raising pitch).

So now that I have these tracks, what do I do now? Loop all three continuously? Or loop one for hours then move onto the next? Should playing actual music feature in the break-in period?

Thanks for any advice.

You really don't have to worry too much about "how to break in HPs". Just run some music through them. Headphones will break in as music is played through them. Just by putting them on your head and listening to them, they're being broken in. The reason most folks here perform a dedicated breakin period is that some cans sound bad right out of the box. And the quickest way to break phones in is to run music through them for a day. All I do is put a CD in that has some good bass and treble. Set the CD player to repeat. Then hit play. Let it run for about 8 hours. (I usually will have the volume set higher than for normal listening.) After the initial 8 hrs, I let them continue to break in as I use them over then next several weeks.

Also, you don't have to be anal about the music sources either. Just choose music that has reasonable bass so you move the drivers a bit.

The most important thing is to enjoy the music.
