Beyerdynamic DT770 (80 ohms) VS Denon D1000 or Denon D2000?
I'm looking to get a new pair of headphones but I can't really decide which ones to get. So far up I haven't had any experience with any "good" headphones.
I've listened to the Sennheiser HD555's using a X-Fi XtremeMusic with a Fiio E5 amp on my brothers setup and I didn't think they were all that great. A little bass heavy and not so clear but that's his preference.
I currently have Steelseries 5Hv2 with a Razer Barracuda AC-1, "gaming" audio. Now I think it's for gaming but for movies/music it's not so impressive and I'd rather use my Etymotic ER6i. One thing about the Steelseries is that I think it's probably the most comfortable headset I've ever used, for me anyways. Comfort is a big issue as I'll probably be wearing them for hours at a time.
Generally I listen to, rock, alternative rock, adult alternative
So right now I want to get the Denon D2000's but don't know if it's really worth it. I can get the Denon D1000's for ~$80 and the Beyerdynamic DT770's for ~$135. Or should I just spend the extra and get the Denon D2000's for ~$215. Is it worth it? Any other suggestions I should look at?

I owned both the Dt770 and the D2000 and sold both. I have a DT150 which I like much more than the DT770. I would suggest you look into the DT150.

I like the 770 for a few genres... but other than that...

Hmm... I would advise getting the DT770 Pro 80 Ohm due to its uncontrolled bass. Now if we are talking about the DT770 Pro 250 Ohm and D2000, these are two sides of the same coin. Getting which will pretty much depend on your preference.
