That is the ballpark figure we gave to the dealers. It is not set in stone yet. I would expect it to stay there though.

You should outline the "3" a little more. I didn't even know what it was till someone pointed it out. I thought it was a new logo in red.

It's called negative space. It's like those images where if you look quickly you see one thing and if you really look at it you see another.

They will come with 3 sets of grey "mushroom tips", 3 sets of clear "bullet tips", 3 sets of comply tips, 1 set of tri-flange tips. This may change, but that's what I've been told.
That's 10 pairs of tips I'll never use. How 'bout a "pro" version that comes without tips for UM56 owners, at a discount, of course.
BTW if "P0wderh0und23" means what I think it means, I hope you made it to Summit County last weekend, INSANE powder at Breck.

A powderhoud is a nickname given to skiers/boarders who live to cut fresh powder after an epic dump of freshies in the high country.

How different are your new non-Comply tips from Shure's tips? I use the Shure grey soft flexes with my UM2 and would be interesting in trying yours if they're any different. Have you been able to compare them, and can you comment on sound and fit?

P.S. - So which is it, skiing or boarding? I was boarding this weekend (Monday classes are overrated).

They are pretty much the "same". I have honestly not done serious A/B with them as I personally do not like the mushroom tips (my ears are weird.. who knows). I'll ask one of the other guys if he has done any serious A/B.

I'm a two-planker. Tried boarding.. just didn't do it for me.

Unhappy

Hmm. Wow. $399 is steep. I was debating UM2 vs. E500 for awhile until news of the Westone 3 emerged--which made me want to wait. Was hoping these would be more like $300-$350.

That will complicate my purchase. Will I be willing to spend almost twice as much for the new Westone 3 when used UM2s and E500s sell for about half of $399? That's a tough call as as of yet I haven't heard any of these.
