hmm, an improved etymotic...that does sound worth the wait. im not a major fan of bass on earphones, going for more detail, but if the 3 will be like an improved etymotic, well....i guess i have to get it!
So its more like an improved Etymotic almost? All the details, the tight bass, great midrange. Just a bit more of the bass, plus crystal highs that the Etys damage just a tine with a slight fullness may i dare say?
Hmmm... now I'm concerned about get custom molds for Etys. They seemed like the end all but these sound lucious. Any chance the barrels will be the same width. That would be phenomenal.
If that's how it sounds, I'll definitely be getting a pair!
I've been looking at ES2s, but now I want to wait and see how the reports of the custom version of the new 3. Though I might have a bit of a wait, since the universal version, hasn't even hit the public yet.

I HIGHLY doubt it's going to be a WOW experience... or something that's going to make me wanna toss my E500s or whatever just to own. We're fantasizing and speculating, and deluding ourselves into the poor house with this inane addiction... The @%#$ iems will be out when they're out, but until then enjoy what you have now... which from some of the sigs, seem like pretty decent enough gear..

People have heard them, people have heard them who have heard many if not all other IEM's. These people are providing their impressions and the rest of us are speculating on how that maps onto our own preferences.
This is not some vaporware product...since folks have tried them, it is indeed enjoyable for most here (you know at a freakin' headphone forum) to discuss said sound. So what if folks throw out some ideas on the final design? If even one positive suggestion can be incorporated before the release date then this has been a win win for everyone.
In essence, chill out, if you don't like the conversation, don't read the thread.

I believe somewhere in your "tirade" you mentioned the word "forum" .. so, yes I am FREE to post my OPINION in a FORUM like anyone else, unless this website isn't hosted with the 50 united states I think my fist amendment rights are still available to me here??? I wasn't BASHING anyone or anything, just merely stating a fact.. about how speculation fuels a bunch of frenzy to acquire an item that, with all do respect and ignorance on my part, isn't going to be setting the world on fire! So maybe we all just need to chill.. and enjoy what we DO have in our possession?

You have no first amendment rights. This is not a publically funded forum. This is a private enterprise. You check your first amendment rights at the door sir. This is a horrible misconception.
That said the moderating staff isn't about draconian methods of submission. Most of the time, folks are free to post what they want to post, provided it falls within the TOS that everyone agrees to when they sign up for the site.
Had I wanted to commit an act of oppression I would have deleted your post. Instead I commented on your comment. You made the insulting *yawn* indicating you were somehow more informed or above those posting. Anything that followed this yawn therefore must be more important and taken as fact above all else.
Second, you insult those that are excited and again insult those that already own gear and then you go on to allude to some clandestine malicious marketing by the OP.
This is a paid thread, and folks commenting have heard the phones. The only misinformed comment is your own and I'm calling you on it.
I'm glad you didn't mean to offend, but the way it was presented means it read that way and honestly, without clarification, how could anyone read it otherwise? Sure provide another perspective, but do so wording it properly. The way you worded your post, it came off trolling.
I agreed with you on the amplification forum... but I disagree with you about YOUR preconceived notion that I intended to BASH or INSULT anyone with my *yawn*... that (and here's where electronic media fails us every time) was more or less a statement of "Not again.." You very eloquently made a statement on the other forum about "riding the hype train"... well, from the looks of it... the "hype train" was about to pull into this forum... There's a fine line between what I hope to see, and "hyping and item up"... I admitted in my original post that I did NOT hear this IEM, more than likely I will once it's made available.. but, my message was a more or less let's not lose our heads over something (which a majority of people tend to do...I highly doubt every poster here has heard those IEMs except me) still in "prototype" stage and will be so until it's on the shelves available to be purchased.
And yes, I do believe that there is a level of "marketing" that goes on... when you think about it, what do IEM or any manufacture REALLY care about??? We all need to eat and keep our car payment up no? It would be totally naive to think that producing "profits" via viral marketing or whatever you want to call it doesn't exist! This is a capitalist society
Look at ALL of my threads in total (200+ posts, low number yes) and I'm a "troll".. don't think so.
And, I was kidding about the "amendment line"... It's a website, I could be booted within the next 5 mins. and?? the only saving grace would probably be my wallet gaining some weight, as I, in the past have jumped aboard that hype train.
