Thanks guys.
Here's a new LA2000 with mahogany cups that features the soft nylon sheath we are now offering as an option. While we like the look of naked Jena wire, some people seem to find her exposed pinkness a bit too immodest.

ROFL! Are you selling headphone mini-skirts now?

Mini-skirts, no. "Little Black Dresses", yes.

Should I be suspicious that those pictures above look like the headphones have been hung off the handle of a clothes drawer in your bedroom?

Jarrah Custom Cups for Denon D2000, Rev. 3.0 ON CLEARANCE SALE!
$179 (plus shipping). Normally $229 plus shipping.
New, unused Rev. 3.0 Jarrah cups. Closing out all Rev. 3.0 cups to make way for Rev. 4.0. The Rev. 3.0 cups are larger than stock and provide a larger sense of soundstage. The 4.0 cups are marginally larger still, but nevertheless, we are discounting the remaining Rev. 3.0 cups. A great deal and opportunity for you to upgrade the awful plastic cups of the D2000.
Jarrah is a medium/hard wood of relatively high density that does not require any additional damping. Provides a nice warm sound, controlled and even-handed. Great for the relaxed listener who likes to kick back in the comfy chair, close their eyes and drift away. Infinitely superior tone/timbre to the plastic cups of the D2000.
Please contact me for purchase. We accept Paypal.

Hi Miguel,
Some woods are just more naturally textured with deeper grain than others and more little pits, they don't buff polish to a perfectly smooth finish. I know that Roshan is painstaking in the amount and layers of various coatings and lacquers he uses, typically there are 5 layers. There are so many ways to finish wood and different styles of finish. Ours are quite shiny using high-gloss lacquers, but do not have the sort of piano gloss finish of the D7000 cups for example. Nevertheless, duly noted, cheers, Miguel!

Good point Mark, also it is not good to put to much lacquer or you risk changing the natural wood damping or its vibration. I have read that the ammount of lacker on certain guitars and cellos can affect their performance.

A couple of pics of a LA2000 with Jarrah cups. Only one pair of Jarrah V.3 cups left at the close-out price of $179 (plus shipping).

Truly beautiful headphones, I really like the look of the Sheoak wood on the 7000's. I have a quick question, is a D2000 minus the cups and cable and a D7000 minus the cups and cable the same headphone? I've been wondering this for some time. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Wham City, the D2000 and D5000 are the same when you remove the cable and cups. The D7000 has a bigger magnet on the driver, and the driver itself may be upgraded with something called "free-edge design" but it isn't clear to me if that's actually something different from the other two or if they actually have it as well.

Thanks for the response, it sounds like the 7000 might have some minor differences, since both the D7000 and D5000 have similar wood and people say they can detect subtle differences between the two that seem to be more than the placebo effect.
