I updated the thread....first person to guess what's changed gets $20 off a Pico!
I haven't been online much of the weekend so I just saw this now. You know my feelings on the original volume knob, I have to say I'm really liking this one, seems like it's a blending of the original and the AE-2's. The recessed screws also give a better representation of the final product. It's amazing what those little things do to the overall look. Again, amazing work edwood.
I just did a total tally of preorders on this thread. Including Asr's order for two units, Fkclo was the 75th reservation. Sorry monte, it looks like you're #76... But the good news is you will be getting a Pico, just not in the first shipment.

monte was #75. Anyone else in the next 5-10 still has a good shot at getting in the first shipment.
I was waiting until the first shipment was out to ask this, but since a few people did try it I guess why not...
How is the sound stage for an HD650 pair with the pico? I was looking into buying the Gilmore Lite but some impressions said they reduced the sound stage, something I love about my Sennheisers. I'm so tired of looking for amps and DACs that i think I'll just buy a pico w/DAC but this is holding me back.
Also, if I use it for gaming on my PC, will the DAC cause any lag with sound?
Oh and, stupid question I just want to let out, can one chain amps...? Like two picos or cmoy in series? or even two different ones...? just curious.

The USB interface will cause lag, yes. Also unless you have a really bad sound card it's not advisable to use a USB DAC for gaming, it'd bypass any features of your sound card, like the EAX and CMSS of the Creative Labs cards.

There are going to be a lot of different subjective impressions on any amp. Other than both being amplifiers, the Gilmore Lite and Pico don't have any similarities in design.

No different than any other USB audio device, probably 1ms or less.

There would only be disadvantages to doing this. The maximum power would remain the same
