Justin, wow. What a device. It's even better now than in July. I can't wait for the full sized version! I ran it at today's meet at a little under half volume, feeding my balanced m3, and continued to be amazed at what you pulled off.

Justin, will you be contacting us by PM/email regarding payments or will you be posting a thread here saying payment is now needed?

The pricing will be for any pre-orders placed in this thread. Pre-ordering will end after I've shipped the last one. I hope to be able to keep the same price after pre-orders. It will depend on what my final costs are. For the amount of design work, and cost of materials going into the Pico, I'm being extremely competitive on the price. The Pico is definitely the best portable I have made so far.

Are we looking at end of October now? Mid November? End of November?
And you can provide info on the opamps used in the DAC and Amp?
Grateful,
PJ
|
PJ,
The materials coming earlier will mean there's less time between amps 1-75 and 76-XXX. I already have most of what I need for the first 75. Next week I'll be sending enclosure prototypes to the finisher to be polished, anodized, and laser engraved. If I'm happy with the final look, I'll send the rest of the boxes. I should have those samples on display at the end of October, and then probably end of November when I receive the first 75.
I have no problem disclosing what chips are in the Pico but I'll wait until I'm finished with testing before releasing the full specs.

Probably both. I'll do this 1-2 weeks before they're ready to ship to give everyone time to respond, and pick some final options, such as USB cable length

YES, YES, YES!!!
That's all I needed to hear, as you can see above I've put in my order, HURRAY.

Will custom gain settings, like unity for low, be available as an option?

good question. i don't know how difficult/easy it is to set the gain...and i don't know how many options justin wants to keep track of (my guess is fewer the better). but unity gain would be great for my custom IEMs...

That picture is the amp board, the other board is the battery +charger, which are completely separate, and just have 4 pins connecting them, 2 for LED, 2 for power. (I got questioned outside the forum about it, so I figured I'd clear that up)
