Wow, this will definitly fit extremely well with an iPod Touch/iPhone. I still love my Predator for my iPod Classic but find it too big for the iTouch. The Shadow looks like the perfect amp companion

Looks great! Or small actually.
Does this use the internal DAC? And how about leaving home - can it operate with batteries?

Is this the thread to order? Or will there be another? I really like what I see, now I need to hear one.

I heard it yesterday at Ray's place.
Also, has no gain switch as it isn't needed. I will let Ray talk more about that at CanJam though.
It is indeed smaller than the P-51. That is USB charging on the back.
The input is on the back and the output on the front. I will let Ray tell you why there as well.
The volume controller is a double sided switch, but it still feels nice as it is spring loaded and gives you a bit of satifying resistance. I still prefer the feel of a Potentiometer, but hey that requires the use of a pic or atmel.
I imagine that the enclosure will make sure that it cannot be accientally moved to one side.

Interesting, not very common but a nice touch. I assume Ray will include a charger that can be connected to an outlet w/ USB outlet. This will be great for when you travel w/o a laptop.
Look forward to hearing impressions, although Ray loves it and it seems to sound better than the wonderful P51.

I don't see the battery or the typical huge capacitor but what do I know.

You are right! The battery must be an add on (a second tier) or Ray has discovered or invented some microscopic battery capacitor!

I don't think we'll find that one out from Ray as you can see the red enamel covering the chips.

Not even close! It sports my favorite op-amp ...
Guys lets remember that there is an item known as intellectual property which many manufacturers need to protect. As long as it sounds good who cares what it has or whatever!
