Lots of drool-worthy headphones in the recent posts Alex! Will the owner(s) of the two R10s and HP-1 reveal himself, or themselves as the case might be? I'm curious what the HP-1 polarity switch does too.

I ordered a pair of Xhadow XLRs and they will be going to Alex for the termination on my similarly recabled HP-2s.

Alex, my HFI-780 of which you posted a pic above have well over 500 hours of burn in. What level of difference (if any) did you hear after you re-cable them versus the re-cabled (new) HFI-780?

Thanks

The highs tamed themselves a bit no longer as shrill or ear piercing. The bass became slightly deeper and not as sloppy. Overall there was a much bigger audible difference with the recable than with burn in.

We plan on adding more colors in super nylon in addition to black in the future, but with such a large order needed to have it made we will need to do some research to figure out which color or colors to add otherwise we will just end up with a bunch of nylon and nothing to do with it.

Just as a note we have a new Ultrasone HFI-780 up for sale right now on our site in the For Sale section.

The cost is $170 + recable + shipping.

This headphone was received from a customer who bought them brand new and attempted to recable them himself. They ended up cutting larger holes on both sides causing a few scratches and marks. He decided this was too big of a job for himself and just bought another pair sending us both pairs. We recabled his other pair of HFI-780 and these we purchased from him. The holes on the left and right side were filled and are ready to have our V3 cable installed onto them. These headphones are brand new with the plastic wrapping still on the headband. We tested the headphones for about 5 minutes to make sure everything was in perfect working order. They come with everything as new with everything you see in the pictures.

Thanks,
Alex

That's what I've been trying to tell everyone for 2 months now.
