Question What Cartridge?

I'm wondering what cartridge I should buy for a Technics SL1900 turntable. It will primarily be used to rip vinyl to my computer to make backup CDs. Although I'm looking for "archive" quality my equipment will not be reference quality, either for recording or playback. Can something like a Grado Sliver fit on the SL 1900 tonearm? Is that overkill? Any help is appreciated or recommendations are appreciated.

FWIW, I'm going with a Shure M97xE.

Hi Erik,

Sorry I didn't get a response up quickly! Enjoy the Shure cartridge. It is a great value and a good sounding cartridge.

Hi Todd,

I understand how it goes. I wasn't really in a hurry to get a cartridge but as usually happens a deal came up that I thought was pretty good.

I'll have to report back on how things work out.
