I just received my flat-pads in the mail today from Todd. Switching from bowls to flats, I do notice more bass/bass slam, less sparkle probably because the sound is less able to bounce around the outer earlobe, and definitely more comfort for a new grado listener.

The comfort doesn't really matter to me anymore because I have adapted. I wear my grados 6-8 hours a day. You can break boards off my earlobes now.

Thanks for the quick reply, Todd. Now I'm trying to think of other stuff to add to my order... this hobby is a bottomless pit.

Yay! My flats have been shipped via USPS! I can't wait to hear my HP-2's as they were intended... I turned the volume up way too loud with Metric's new album 2 nights ago, trying to "richen" the sound or increase the bass. That's when I absolutely decided to get the flats.

Thanks, Todd
