with rs-1's with flats it opens up the soundstage and makes placement of the instruments further apart.

takes out any harshness,...or atleast smooths them off

and the low end bass of course becomes more solid.

I've tried both kinds of flats, and finally settled on just flipping the bowls of my RS-1.

Yep I am reverse bowls man as well.

Although when I need that bass lovin then it's the flats.

i idiodically returned my rs-1´s before i learned about the pad revolution.

but in the end im glad (see sig)

I have 2 pair of original NOS Joe Grado Flat Pads and they are identical to the Flat Pads Todd currently sells. The puckering by the cuts are the only difference I can see and that doesn’t effect the pad but rather a cosmetic curiosity.

Don’t forget to wash the pads regularly for proper hygiene.

lol dude there not a set of teeth..lol

Wash them in tide free and throw them in the dyer for a few mins..

I do this before and after every meet.
