Default Shure E500's - May or June?
Hi Folks,

I've seen a few mixed release dates for these earphones. I've pre-ordered them with Todd and searching on the net hasn't really got me any closer to when Shure are releasing these. Is there any latest/confirmed estimate?

Official word from Shure is June 15th ship date. They certainly are worth the wait. I spent my flight back from the New York meet with them and can't say enough about how good they are. I really hated to send them back (hear that sugarfried) and await a production pair just like you.

At least Shure is doing a proper release with the E500 rather then what AKG did with the 701 and mircosoft did with the xbox 360

That's good to hear about June, I've got a air trip July 4th and the 14th and would like to have the upgrade to do some extensive comparisons. Now to finish my portable amp before the trip.. Stupid half-built amps lying around, one of them has to be close to working.

Anyone know how they compare to the shure e5c not specs mind you, but have actually tried both. I here that they are not going to discontinue them but I do expect a big drop in price on the e5c.

Approaching the end of May now. Maybe we'll get lucky and get our E500's earlier in June. Here's to hope!
