I am gettin a variety of inexpensive chinese made amps and dacs to play with but nothing I suspect that will blow me over I'm going to give listen for the fun of it.

They both do different things well. Depends on what source I'm using but end up listening to the 600 or 650's. The 701's are nice but lack the warmth I enjoy.I do enjoy their large soundstage and often listen to them with my tuner. The Denon D5000 are very nice but still somehow I end up listening to tghe 600/650's. That says alot as I actually believe the D5000 to be my best headphones for listening more critically.
