I will be getting mine here today so I can break it in for the show. Can't you just picture it
Acidtripwow, you can use the gift certificate - just give me a call to order and I will take care of it. And you can wait to see it and order after. That gift certificate is as good as gold around here and I'm glad you won it at the Billy's Chicago meet.
Another clue...
There is no 1/4 to 1/8th adapter - the HF-2 comes terminated 1/4"

I live in downtown LA and I'd be happy to pick them up for you.
I swear I'm reputable.

So excited, can't wait for the hf2 to be unveiled and the impressions of people at canjam. Some people say it will be a success only if it blows everything near it's price range out of the water. Unfortunately I live in the real world with diminishing returns, and the hf1 already costs around the same so I will be happy if it is better than the hf1 and taken in a different direction than the rs1/rs2. Of course if it exceeds these expectations like the hf1 did there will be no problems here .

Just.... few.... days.... left....
Damn u Todd :P I really hope they are worth it
And the worst is, if they are really good, and follow most people's expectations, (mainly mine), the wait till they arrive home will be even more painful
BTW, have you prepared some pictures to upload to the forums, from CanJam?

Have you seen Jude's post describing the sound of the HF-2?
The Grado HF2--It's For Real
It may help to start a determination going as to whether or not they are worth it.

Come on, book it.

LOL. I should say, ROTFLMAO.
I must say that it stretches credibility to the breaking point to call a meeting of folks who pursue what we at Head-Fi pursue (to the degree that we pursue it at CanJam) the Real World. That said, if sufficient poetic license is granted (if the origin and orientation of one's Reality Coordinate System is sufficiently Translated, Rotated (and, perhaps, Reflected) to so align it, then, surprisingly enough, it actually COULD work!
Just think of it folks, CanJam 2009 as the "Real World". Hmmm, ... would that include Tyll and his shirt collection? In that case, some warping may be needed as well in such a Reality Coordinate System transformation.

Just ordered as well!!
My reasoning was as follows:
1) Having been a Senn person for so long, i probably need to expand my horizon and try out something different
2) I've spent so much time here since i first joined (though my post count suggests otherwise =P ) and gotten so much valuable info here i might as well support head-fi if i'm thinkin about goin Grado
3) I'd recently went down the balanced route (balanced M3 => aps v3 => hd650). Woudn't it be fun to compare the pair?!
4) Todd n Jude said they're good, that's good enuf for me!
5) Sometimes being a bit insane n impulsive is just so FUN!!
So yeah... i'm participatin in this big waitin game along w/ the rest of ya!

And the HF-2 unveiling countdown continues .....
Roughly 3 days, 19 hours to go until the unveiling at CanJam 2009 (using May 30, 10 AM PST as the unveiling time). I hope we get some gutsy, generous early reports from some of those at CanJam. Then the subtleties can come in slowly later. It'll be a lot like burn-in, only it's news ABOUT the phones, instead of sound FROM the phones, so meta-burn-in.
