HI All,
It is with great disappointment that I have to inform my foreign customers that Sennheiser USA is not permitting sales outside the USA. For those of you who ordered I apologize to you. If you paid me via PayPal you will be refunded in the next 24 hours.
I am expecting to get some of the HD800's in a few weeks. I still do not have the number of headphones I will be receiving but I should be able to take care of a large number of my orders. I now have 70 on order with Sennheiser.
Thank you to all who have ordered and I look forward to your feedback on the HD800 and our service. And again I am very sorry that I cannot serve those of you who live outside the USA.
Todd

hmm...... is this normal that Sennheiser can't provide exactly volume of shipment to its dealers? Bad inventory management or play favoritism among dealers?

Hi All,
Just trying to keep you informed. So far there is no new news on the deliver date for the HD800 nor is there any indication of the number I will receive on the allocation.
I do not believe Sennheiser is withholding info - I think they are being very careful NOT to promise something they can/cannot deliver. As with any new product introduction, you just never know what you have or when you will have it until you DO!

Thanks for heads-up, Todd.
I've just put a preorder from you. Here hoping that I'm not late for the first batch.

Hi All,
The demo HD800 that Sennheiser USA was so kind to lend me for a few days has arrived and I am listening to it! WOW!!!
And of course my 307A and Luxman P1 are not here
The P1 is on my loaner program and the 307A is off for a review. BUT I do have my new FET-A amp and the HD800 sounds glorious with it. I have it hooked up to a Meridian G08.2 with Cardas Golden Reference cables. To be honest it sounds better than anything I have heard. The HD800 is worth the dough and worth the wait.
I will post impressions on Monday when I have spent a significant amount of time with them.
Todd

With all the HD800s being handmade, is there any concern about quality control? From all the orders I've seen here on Head-Fi, it looks to me they may have already sold their production limit for the year. If they step up production, will the quality drop?
I just broke down and ordered these from Todd so my wallet is definitely feeling lighter.

Ya, I preorded on the 13th and tried to forget about it, fat chance out here with all the threads, excitement is building. Last i heard i was inside the first 30 so i am crossing my fingers, maybe moved up a little due to foreign sales cut, but a bummer for them.
Starting it get jumpy though thats for sure, can't wait for your further impressions Todd.
