Track changes should be instantaneous on the G08. Remember, you have to hit play to instantaneously go to the next track. If you want to go to a later track, hit forward to that track, then hit play. Will move to the selected track instantaneously pretty much. If you just hit the forward button, the player will wait a few seconds before transferring to that track.

That's pretty silly, but it works. Thanks! Track change is instantaneous that way.
Meridian should allow an option to disable that so that track changes are instantaneous with one button press. There is a keypad after all to enter direct track numbers.

Actually, after awhile, you get used to it and then you don't want it any other way!

Yeah, as I'm playing around, it lets you skip two or three tracks very quickly, hit foward two times and then hit play, BAM! Plays that track right away. (OK, there's no actual sound when it switches, but you get the point. )

Heh, still in New Jersey though I'm completing the contract I'm working on so I might be moving around a bit on this coast. D'Oh! Timing's everything! I have to give Todd a call on this...
