grado sr-60, sr-80, sr-225, sr-325, hf-1, alessandro ms1, ms2i, are said to be good in regards to price v performance. (value)
Research and get whatever fits into your budget and needs. Grados have a very in-your-face sound, imagine the singer being right next to you.

ms-1/sr-80 , sr-225 , ms2i are universally spoken as good bucks for money in the grado line here.

I will attest to the Alessandro MS-2i, but for a newcomer $299 might seem a little steep.

I believe someone in Stereophile mentioned the SR 125s as the best bang for the buck.
Regards.

I think the MS-1 is a pretty sweet deal for the money.
How does the MS-2i compare to the RS-1? Would any of you recommend them to someone who found the MS-2i a little boring heh

imo...when may mean or not mean anything.
the sr-60's are the best cause they are around $60 and you get the grado fun and what not.
the most important Grado compared for the cost ver performence is the hf-1!

Don't most here consider the SR125 too bright?

Pure Grados
1) 60
2) 225
3) RS-1s....
Non-Grado
1) MS1s
2) MS2s
You will hear otherwise but this is the list and the greater value is listed as number one.
No they don't have a great soundstage but this in turn makes you feel like you are in the front row of a concert.
