Default Beogram TX 2

I recently unpacked said Beogram from a 20 year rest in storage and unscrewed the bouncy screws and put the rubber band looking thing back on its track (as you can see my experience these realms is somewhat limited) pressed play, as well as all the other buttons, and nothing happens. I believe it has something do to with the middle bit that gets depressed to detect the record. Any thoughts?
