May I make a request for someone (tom or someone else) to bring the Ultrasone ED9 to the meet? I liked them quite well with the 708B tube amp at the mini-meet, but have made many changes to the amp since then. Im curious if I screwed it up.

I will bring my stock ED9s so we can compare them to the ALO recabled pair.
I am interested in hearing the differance.

2 weeks to go ladies and jellybeans.
This meet is long overdue!
Yeah...
Listen (actually you can't really listen to a post, so read:), even though Erik is abandoning us for something as silly as attending a holiday party for his boss to avoid unemployment, does anyone else want to plan a post meet diner other something similar, event?
That is usually half the fun.

I am hoping to make it to the meet. That is my week in New York so I should be able to come and if I have enough time get some recording done so I can bring in a RTR source.
Gear:
Omega 2
Rockhopper KGSS
Otari 5050 BII (Maybe a CDP)

If you want to stay local there is an Italian restaurant called Al Dente right across the street that's pretty good. Kind of upscale but not too pricey, although other patrons might not be wearing "Disco Still Sucks" tee shirts.
Al Dente - Eat. Drink. Save Money.
Wellington's Grill may be more casual Head-Fi style, also right down the street.

I have to finalize things with the amp's owner but I believe a shiny new 2-channel beta22 may be making its first appearance at the meet. Crikey, how do I get myself into positions where I'm schlepping so much gear for hundreds of miles?

The Luxman P-1 has landed and it's a real beaut.
Sounds the way a headphone amp should sound.

Will anyone be bringing hiss-o-matic super sensitive IEM's?
The Silver Ghost plays quietly on the Etymotic ER4S (does that make it a portable amp?) but I want to try a harder target.

I finished building this thing a moment ago.
Unless it stops working it will be there.
It will have volume knobs too.

Ari,
You made a Fluke meter? Damn, you're talented.
Your amp chassis reminds me of a cage match! Battle to the death.

Wow, that looks great, but think of the attention you would get next weekend if you squeezed a squirrel cage in there with a hamster & hid the power cord very discreetly...
