I have and would be willing to bring any/all of:
Headphone Inventory - Sleek SA-6
- Koss KSC-75 (Kramer modded)
- Yamaha YH-2? orthos (I think these have been used hard, and are not sounding like they should, also quite uncomfortable, IMO.)
- Grado SR-80i, SR-225, HF-2
- AKG K601
- Silencio React (These are more for sound protection, not reproduction, they have a microphone in each earcup, and pass sound through quite well, until it gets to a certain threshold, then they stop passing sound. They also have a 3.5mm input for a DAP or the like. I use them at the shooting range.)
Headphone Amp/DAC Inventory - Fiio E5
- CMoy
- iBasso D10 DAC/Amp
- Millett Hybrid
- Fubar II DAC
For sources, I can bring a laptop with FLAC, as well as MP3 players with FLAC and Ogg Vorbis 160kb/s.

Wow, that looks like a great inventory. Good point about the sources, maybe I should put my library (pretty huge) on an external HDD to bring it.

Outstanding! This may be a pretty decent meet! Maybe we could even get a vendor to show up if the turnout looks reasonable-size!

Well, it looks like madmax7 has a WA3, so could be you'll get your chance.
I'd quite like to come to the meet in KC, I've subscribed to the thread.

Hey, now, go easy there, I think Bo is looking at 8+ wins this year, we can't help but get excited after the lobotomizing Pederson inflicted on us.
But we'll still let you bring your gear, if you promise to only mutter Husker epithets under your breath. I'd really like to listen to the PS-1000, and get your thoughts on how the HF-2 compares to it.
It looks like we have enough interest that perhaps we could start working on a date, is there any dates that won't work for anyone? I would prefer to avoid the last 10 days of October, I'll be in Wyoming trying to murder an elk, and of course we should try to make it a different date than the KC meet.
It looks like the proposed dates for KC are late August or early September, I think we should shoot for early October or November. (I'd also like to go to the KC meet first, to see how things work, having never been to a meet!)

Yah, I sent out a bunch of PMs tonight, did searches for Nebraska, NE, Iowa, IA, South Dakota, and SD in location in the member list. IA returns a lot of folks from CalifornIA, AustralIA, and even from SlovakIA.
Unfortunately for the folks who didn't specify a city or region, I blasted it out to them anyway, just in case they were in the area, or could make it.
Perhaps you and someone else could split driving/gas/room, if someone else from your area expresses interest.
I envy you that you're close to Chicago, and will stand a better chance of going to CanJam next year than I.

Yeah, Nebraska has a good shot at winning the Big 12 north this year. I think KU is the team to beat though. It would be a nice boost if NU can pull off a win at Virginia Tech.
I kind of hope we don't have the meet during the college football season.

I fear VT will be one of the un-wins. Along with OK and KS, but who knows. College football has been kind of crazy the last few years.

I am interested, depending on the day and time. Since I work retail, it can be tricky getting days off (unless it's sunday...but I understand people have religious obligations that day).
As to my meager gear:
Phones: DT880, HA-RX700, SR-60, KSC75 Modd'ed
Amps: LD MK II, PA2V2
Sources: Panasonic PCDP SL-S150, A818 w/LOD
If this is in a few months, I'll hopefully have a Zero DAC by then, but I'm sure you folks want to get this going asap.

EDIT: Scratch that. OK. I start school August 13. I was thinking we could have the meet earlier than that, but I'm guessing that would be too soon for some. So I'd be fine with early/mid-September.
EDIT2: Kclone and Golgi, would you be willing to bring your vinyl rigs out?
And, just a thought here, it seems that the KC meet is being held in a audio store. Perhaps we could talk to the guys at Custom Electronics? Or might that be too small a venue?
