June Meet in Seattle
Initial planning is in the works for a meet in Seattle on June 21st.
We have a venue courtesy of Larry Israel of Resolution Audio:Video.
I have arranged an announcement in the pages of the June issue of Stereophile, so hopefully we will see some new faces among our friends at this get-together:
Head-Fi Seattle Meet June 21, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at Resolution Audio:Video, 5459 Leary Avenue NW, Seattle, WA 98107
Everything headphones! Come experience the equipment you’ve only read about. Bring your own stuff and show it off.
Last meet saw a lot of fabulous source equipment as well as the usual assortment of headphones, amplifiers, portables, DACs and more.
Local / Regional Meets, Parties, Get-Togethers - Head-Fi: Covering Headphones, Earphones and Portable Audio for the latest information.
The last meet was a hoot. Let's see if we can better it. Make your plans now and post here to let us know what they are.
My thanks to Big Poppa and BHJazz for their counsel and encouragement.

I will be checking out Resolution Audio tomorrow to see the space. I may take the camera. The After meet is going to be AWESOME!!! You will not have to move your cars. EVERYTHING is right there.
OK, This venue is 5 stars. I am blown away. Larry is so supportive of the Head-Fi community. This place is audio nirvana, Really!!!!. I am coming back tomorrow to take pictures. Yes he is going to the after meet. I feel lucky this task has been dropped on my lap. You may have Can Jam, But the beginnings of the Rattle of Seattle have started. If you miss this meet you have missed the boat. You miss this one...... This meet will be a tad different. You will have the opportunity to audition really awesome and expensive gear with your set up. We are having the Meet in the Best Venue I really could imagine..... A very upscale audio store with equipment available to audition with our equipment. You will need to PM me for details. I will give impressions tomorrow I promise. The Seattle Head-Fiers have arrived.
****UPDATE****
I need to start a list of all those who are coming to the meet. I will be renting 8 foot long tables at 22 bucks each with table cloths. The tables will be there Friday morning and I will return them on Monday after the meet. Any help with the table expense will be appreciated. Please let me know if you need a whole table or can share a table. I have a 4 foot folding table and a 6 foot folding table. I also have a furniture for my equipment.
Thanks,

Here are a few pic's of the stuff at Resolution Audio. I'm really not good at it.

This thing is gorgeous, This was the first thing I saw.

Larry made me listen to this beast. The imagining was so sweet. You actually felt like it was singing to you. This will greet you when you go upstairs to the meet.

This thing cleans records, They will clean your records for free. Both sides. Sorry if it is a little blurry.

This system tripped me out. It was fed with some MIT Oracle The BIG ONES.

You guys have to come by and check out this place. I feel real lucky to be able to help put on a meet here.
Any questions or concerns please let me know. We are still working a few things out so I will be updating the thread as they come.

Rattle of Seattle... good one, Gil.
I've been looking into power conditioning lately. I'll definitely check out Resolution Audio though I can't commit to the meet yet.

The most powerful test I ever heard from a power conditioner was taking it out of my system. Everything collapsed, grain returned, that beautiful black backdrop disappeared... Just make sure that when it's in your system your music doesn't sound compressed or sterile. Some conditioners can do that.

Looking for something like this:

This feeds that system in the pictures I posted.

Calling all New Head-fier's, calling all new Head-fiers.... This is the meet to come to. Bring your gear and have a good time. I was a new Head-fier at the Bellevue Library Meet and I have been hooked since. I think I brought a RSA Tomahawk and a Headroom Total Airhead to that meet. And for headphones I may have had some Senn PCX-100's. Brian, Young, Josh, and Sergio have been so so supportive. You will find your buddies to guide you through your Head-fi adventures. I'm a fan of Thesrot and he is fairly new. His set up has a throne! Come to the meet check out all the gear, We will be at a really cool Audio Store, soak up the atmosphere and have a good time. These meets are great fun. You never know what is going to happen.

I'll be in Seattle for the Summer. Not sure if I'll have my RS-1 with me or not, but I'll be sure to try and make this.
