Yep, just got mine on Tuesday and they will be burned in and ready to go!

I hope I never have to answer this question.
Seriously, I haven't spent enough time with all of them to choose. I would have to choose 3 different headphones: one for classical/jazz, one for rock and one for electronica.

I was afraid you would say this... oh well, I guess I'll just have to listen to all of them.
Actually, one of my goals is to find a pair of closed phones that I like for those occasions when I need to block out that TV in the other room. The Denon D2000 is a prime candidate, so I also want to audition those. Do they isolate outside noise better than your HD650's?

Current Head-Fi threat level is orange. Intelligence indicates a high risk of money being spent, but a specific target has not yet been identified.

I have spent a lot of time searching for a great closed headphone. One reason is that I use headphones in the office and don't want to bother my office neighbors at work. Also, I sometimes listen to music in bed when my partner is asleep. A good closed headphone is not at easy to find as a good open one. However, I would definitely recommend Denon or Audio Technica. They know how to make a nice sounding closed headphones that sounds "open-ish."
As for isolation, the Denon D2000 certainly isolates more than the 650s. As far as I can tell, there is little sound leakage from the can. However, they don't isolate as well as some of my other closed phones (as far as keeping out outside noise). [I can clearly hear the tv without music playing.] Out of all my closed headphones I would order them as follows (most isolating to least isolating):
HD 25-1 > Darth Beyer (or DT-770) > Ultrasone HFI 780 >> ath-a900ltd > denon d2000 > Woodied Senn 580
The first 3 phones seems to isolate me from the outside world much better than the latter three. You can get significant isolation from the first two without music playing. However, the first three are not as comfortable because of the clamping force on your head!
As far as I can tell, all of these headphones leak little to no sound (unlike the 650s).
Disclaimer: This is all from memory. It could be that the Denon's isolate as well as the ath-a900ltd's. It also depends on how large your noggin is. My trouble is that headphones are often too loose on my head. The Denons and the Audio Technica's are pretty loose. Of course, this makes them great for wearing for long periods of time.

BUMP:
So when are the rest of you folks going to send the 15 bucks cover to Orcin?
C'mon already ...
There's going to be a HEAP of gear, a dedicated meeting facility, door prizes (including one of my power cords!) ...
And to boot, you get to make a genuine RPG geek socially uncomfortable! (re: Orcin!)
(I'm a huge RPG fan, myself bro ... mostly Oblivion and AD&D ... FYI!)
So, Houston brethren ... do yourself a favor and commit to a meet on Oct. 25th!
Can't wait, myself ....

I can certainly send $15 for the cause, but cannot yet commit being there. IFF Marc can patch the BH, I will make every effort to get there with all the stuff in my sig, including the Bijou (looking promising).
Orcin, just pm me where to send funds, and, while Houston is a ways, it will be fun to head south for a day.

Well, we're going to count you as confirmed anyway in hopes that you will be able to make the trip.
That confirms the 7 nice table spots that come with the clubhouse. However, there is still room for a few card tables or folding tables, assuming that we can get someone to bring them. I think we could easily fit in another 5-6 people with gear, but I need to get in there and have a look around soon to be sure as to how many.
I also need to get to work on that gear list!
It looks like we'll be watching the weather around here for the next few days, so everyone stay safe... especially you, Steve, since you are directly under that big bullseye on the map. And certain other people who might be trying to ride pieces of wood or fiberglass during the storm should also be careful... you know who you are.

Yeah ... I certainly plan on being at the beach at least for part of it.
Gonna be a particularly messy one for us so we won't get the sort of surf we got from Gustav.
...
I'll be intact come meet time, I'm sure.

We survived Ike! Lost a small tree and a few fence pickets. Not bad at all compared to some of my neighbors. Power came back yesterday and we had a party at Pappasitos (drank way too many margaritas).
Good news, the clubhouse has no damage so the meet is still on!

That is great news! I will certainly be looking forward to a meet after all of this. I am also glad to see that you are safe.
A margarita sounds really good right now!!! We didn't have any damage to our house... just a lot of yard work. I was worried since we have 3 live oaks in the front of our house a 2 other large trees in the back! Now... the waiting begins for power. I hope I don't have to wait 3 weeks!

No real damage here either. Lots to my folks down in Clear Lake and Channelview but nothing really over near sugarland.
I too am still without power. Finally got a connection to the internet via a work computer ...
Hope the power is on in the next day or two.
NO AC/ NO NET / NO FRIDGE / All sucks.

Really good to hear that everyone came through safely. My neighborhood has a lot of trees down with too many hitting people's houses. Feeling very fortunate that our house did not experience any damage and just had a lot of smaller debris to clean up. Got lucky here in NW Houston with the power and phone/internet coming back on late this afternoon.
