The Toronto meet is really huge, and has pepped up my interest. Stuff I could bring:
AKG K701
HD650
RS-1
Dynalo
if finished, a beta22
an iPod
a USB DAC
an old school panasonic PCDP with line out.
and maybe a turntable, if I pick one up.
IMHO, that's some pretty decent swag. Hopefully that might encourage other people to want to show up.

I tried to return this DVD to the store but they wouldnt let me so I broke it in half and thew it away in the trashcan in the mall. I couldnt bear to be near its bad karma any longer.
I have a feeling that if the meet DOES happen (not sure if it will or not, can't find a decent place to host), then it will be near the end of July.
Clutz has a lab that he can host us in, I think.

I have passed the torch on to Roastpuff for several reasons.
1. I've been way too busy to do anything; job and volunteer really clash with other things.
2. School assignments: reading Wuthering Heights and 1984 is NOT fun, especially when you have to do a response in the end.
3. Re-taking provincials: I got a horrible mark on one of the prov. I'm using to get into university. Gotta get it up to 90% or higher so I have to restudy.
I'm really sorry guys but it's likely that I won't even make it to the meet itself, never mind organizing it. I did get some Equation RP-21's so if I do have a chance to go, I'll bring them around for you guys to try.
Alrighty guys... I'm going to be away for two weeks in middle/late August, so what I'm going to do is postpone the meet until September - probably middle or late September, to let everyone finish off acquisitions and builds.
Clutz has kindly offered to host us in his lab, and I will be contacting him for further details. The lab is at UBC, just a FYI.
I will attempt to contact the manufacturers for door prizes, sample gear and maybe a couple of representatives to show up or something. Hopefully we can get roughly 30 people to come to the meet, which is what my goal is.
Any suggestions?
