ViaBlue connectors: Which is tip, which one is ring?
Which channel corresponds to which solder point on the innards of the ViaBlue plugs? I know how it generally is, but the ViaBlue has a much different layout.

This. $5 from Harbor Freight. Slash didn't you just make a headphone cable with a Vialue plug?

Yes, I did, I haven't installed it yet though. I'll pick up a DMM next time I order stuff.
Wouldn't the cable have to be installed in a pair of headphones for the DMM to work anyway?

No, you can connect one end to the tip or ring or whatever you want to test and the other one to the soldering point inside.

Um, put one contact of the multimeter on the tip, then poke around on the other side until you get continuity *facepalm*
