Default Speaker amp for Klipsch RF-35

A friend of mine wants to start using his dad's old speakers:

RF-35 --- Floorstanding Stereo Speaker - Klipsch Reference Series

However, he needs an amp, because the old receiver he has sucks and crackles. What amp would be sufficient, as cheap as possible? Its rated at 125 W max, 8 ohm. Sonic Impact T-amp is very good for cheap, but only 15W. Is there a similar bargain amp thats more powerful?
Thanks

Kplisch speakers are very efficient, you don't need an external amp to drive them.

Any decent midrange receiver would have plenty of power driving them.

Harman Kardon, Denon, Yamaha, etc.

The problem with his receiver is that it is damaged and constantly crackles. Would you say a dedicated amp would not provide any improvement over a receiver?

Sure, an external amp would make an improvement. But how much are you willing to spend. You can't get a decent amp unless you are willing to shell out at least six or eight hundred dollars.

For easy to drive speakers like the Klipsch speakers, you get minimal improvement if any by using an external amp instead of a decent receiver.
