I wrote a while back asking how to repair a dented tweeter on my Monitor Audio 303's. I tried one of the suggestions (packing tape) and succeeded in pulling out the dent, but the gold coating on the dome cracked is looks like it is going to chip off eventually.
It doesn't sound different than the other speaker's tweeter (in other words: it sounds great IMO), but for peace of mind I am thinking I need to replace both tweeters.
Unfortunately MA doesn't carry replacement parts for these speakers any more.
So, I have two questions:
1) Does anyone know where I can locate a match?
2) Can anyone suggest a compatible replacement from the modern MA line?
Here is a picture of the pre-repair/damaged tweeter:

Ask in the PARTsexpress forum or amybe they can give you the specs as they are not producing it anymore....for sure with hte specs you should be able to find a nice replacement, even maybe a diaphragm that will fit in the front panel of the original tweeter....

Neutrality, accuracy? OK, just ask yourself first: Do you certainly know how the recording is supposed to sound? Sorry, but for me euphony is all about!!! Please do yourself a favor, stop listening your gear, and enjoy the music instead!!!
Home setup: Sony DVP-NC555ES => BJC IC's => RPX-33 MKII/RPX-31 => UE9
"On the go" setup: Panasonic SL-CT570 => XJ-03 => Sleek SA6/Klipsch Images X5/X10
Proved that despite its huge size, the CD3K can be shoved down one's throat...wait...but now I'm shoving the Ultrasone Edition 9???
EQUIPO HEAD-FI HISPANO: DILE ADIOS A TUS AHORROS!!!
I would check in over at Madisound. If I recall, they have a list of substitute drivers. Madisound also has a forum - it might be worth asking in there. I hope you can get them fixed.

you need more than that, like for example the power handling, the nominal impedance, DC resistance of the coil, the frequency range, FS, Sensitivity, xover point, etc...to get the right replacement otherwise you may need to modify the xover later on...

I think I need to write Monitor Audio for that type of info. Hopefully they have it. When I wrote earlier trying to get the manual, they only had some old photos of the original flyer (not very informative).
Thanks for the heads-up.
Looks like an OEM version of a Seas unit. Might be an old Prestige series unit (like the woofers are, almost 100% sure).
You could take the unit out to check if there's a manufacturer label left at the unit (most do). If that's the case, you're best bet is to get a newer Seas unit, possibly 2 (to replace both). But like it's said before: you need all the parameters to get a decent match, and even then you'd have to tweak the filter to get the most of it. Plus no current unit is shaped like this one, so you'll want to alter the front panel to mount the tweeter: it should be mounted deeper than it is now.
Didn't know about them till now, just sent an email. I also contacted Madisound and he suggested a few possible matches. However, he is dubious about them fitting not-only physically, but audio-wise as well. In the end he said that my tweeter - though damaged - would probably sound fine. I think he is probably right, but if I can find an exact replacement for little $$ I'll go ahead and do it. Otherwise, I'm not sure it's worth altering the speaker just for a tweeter.
I'll write back with what Kevro says. Thanks again!

No problem. I know they helped someone else out in your situation. Proud MA owner here myself.
