Default Recommendations for SET powered speakers

A Head-Fi member has graciously traded me his SET amp that should be arriving tomorrow and I'm now venturing into a new audio realm.
I need ideas for flea powered speakers as it's an area I know almost nothing about. I like the looks of the Moth Audio Cicada and some of the Cain & Cain's, but I'm interested in hearing from those with first hand experience for speakers like these.
I'd prefer to keep my first pair reasonably priced (~ or <$1000).
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It would greatly help to know which SET and which output tube is used. For example, if you got a 45 SET at 1.5-2 wpc, the choices are much more limited..

Funny this post came up today as I have been searching for the past few hoursfor high efficiency speakers (97 dB or higher)for listening room systems. I am considering taking on the Bottlehead S.E.X. tube amp project (thanks for the tip Uncle Erik).

I found the least expensive route is a DIY kit from pispeakers.com - three base reflex kit - $290 - 30"x20"x14" - 98db.

High efficiency speakers can get obscenely expensive and quite large. Here is a list of other products you may wish to search.

Hammer Dynamics - Super 12 - $650 kit
Loth-X Amaze
Moth Audio Cicadas - $700
Adire Audio HE-10 - $1200
Omega Loudspeakers - starting at $950
Klipsch RB-81 Bookshelf Loudspeaker - $700
Klipsch LaScala - $2750 each
Exodus Kepler Bookshelf

The Nelson Pass J-Low is another option.

Thanks for the help everyone.
I'm specifically looking for something that will match well with 2a3's.

I've heard very good things about the Cain & Cain speakers (especially the Abby) but not sure if the'd fit in your budget...at least not new. Many of the other high-efficiency speakers are frightfully expensive though, e.g. Avantgarde Acoustic, Beauhorn, Cabasse. Others which might be worth investigating are the likes of Omega, Reference 3A.

What size room are you looking to fill? Do you need floor-standers or would monitors do?

Drawing a damn blank.

The Moth or Omega would be a great first choice. Get something used on Audiogon? I have had good results there.
