Question Problem with Harrison Labs Attenuators

I just got a pair of 12db to use with an ART D/IO. Problem is they don't quite fit the 1/4" > RCA adapters I got with the ART. They're way loose. My Outlaws bite down on them fine, but the weight just pulls them right out of the adapters (which look like RadioShack Gold Series). There's no friction fit (if that's what it's called) at all. I haven't experienced any clipping, these were just to normalize the volume level so I could do without them, maybe even send them back. Anybody else experience this ? Any suggestions ? Thanks !
