I read somewhere that the first 300 B tube amps were made by Western Electric company and they were originally used for amps in movie theaters.
To me, that is so fascinating!
I tried to find a pic on the internet of the original 300 B amps from the 1930s but could not find any. If you have a pic of the original 300 B amps from that era, please post them! I am curious.
Also, if you general have pics of tube amps from that era as well (ca. 1930s and 40's) , feel free to post them too.
That's the history I am familiar with too Nick. The original 300Bs were made by Gray & Barton for telephone equipment which later (1872) became Western Electric.

According to this article, The 300 B tube was used in movie theatre amps. If they were used by the telephone company as well and with movie theaters, I'm curious which application came first.
The article also states that the 300 B was used in military equipment and amature radio. If anyone has pics of the 300 B in military equipment and amature radio or from any application from that era, please post them.
