Default Please post pics of original 300 B tube amps

I read somewhere that the first 300 B tube amps were made by Western Electric company and they were originally used for amps in movie theaters.

To me, that is so fascinating!

I tried to find a pic on the internet of the original 300 B amps from the 1930s but could not find any. If you have a pic of the original 300 B amps from that era, please post them! I am curious.

Also, if you general have pics of tube amps from that era as well (ca. 1930s and 40's) , feel free to post them too.

Not 300B specifically but this guy has some interesting old Western Electric amps. Moviemice also has some good history of cinema amps.

I'm not so sure on that...

From what I understand, the 300B was originally developed, by WE for use in amplifying signals in long-distance telephone systems...

That's the history I am familiar with too Nick. The original 300Bs were made by Gray & Barton for telephone equipment which later (1872) became Western Electric.

That's an awesome pic. Thanks.

According to this article, The 300 B tube was used in movie theatre amps. If they were used by the telephone company as well and with movie theaters, I'm curious which application came first.

The article:

Antique Radio Classified: The 300B Tube Lives Again!

The article also states that the 300 B was used in military equipment and amature radio. If anyone has pics of the 300 B in military equipment and amature radio or from any application from that era, please post them.
