Also, the following is an email sent to me by Ben of Bogden:
>Hi Fred,
>sorry, but they are not ready yet. Actually all my IC are done long time ago
> but I have some changes with lettering and some stickers. I'm waiting on
>that to be done.
>OK, here what I have new.
>-Silver Spirit SF( send filled) IC little bet deferent design than original
>Spirit. Sounds great. More focused, larger sound stage, more air between
>instruments.
>I also have three new interconnects, also SF , in conventional design, one
>tube per side, not two tubes, as Spirit has.
>They are fitted with, Silver, Palladium or 24K gold wire. They all sound
>great, but you have to try them in your system to hear the flavor deference.
>I also have new SF speaker cables, which are simple fantastic. As you maybe
>know Bogdan Audio is "one man company" and sometimes is really hard to
>fulfill the daily plans just with two hands.
>Regards,
>Ben.
Who'll be the first to try?

Is Bogdan an individual or an organization? If it is an individual then is he/she a member of HeadFi ??

Gsferri,
It's a one man organization. And to the best of my knowledge he is aware of, but not a member of the head-fi community.
Side note:
Wow, he has really upped the bar in presentation and put a very nice looking cable out there in an attractive tin. Awesome.

Yeah I noticed that tin, looks really nice. I also noticed his highest model uses gold as a conductor. I'm still somewhat hesitant to embrace gold in cables since its not as good of a conductor as silver or copper, which would leave me to believe it is extremely slow and mellow, quite the opposite of his other cables.

Wow, those look nice. Thanks for the heads-up Gopher. That intro price, which lasts until 7/25, looks like a pretty decent deal. If his other stuff is any representation, these should prove to be quite the nice buy. Very nice indeed.

I am interested in the sand filled Silver Spirits which are a little more cost than standard Silver Spirit at $380 for 1 meter pair price till 7/25/04...........not outrageous compared to name brand cables but still I just recently purchased Grover Silver Reference speaker cables and two pair of GSR interconnects for almost same price!
I am reluctant to try new Eximus models because of higher cost and more bulky appearance. After wrestling around with bulky Virtual Dynamics cables I personally much prefer lightweight flexible designs whenever possible.
Of course I have not heard these and if Hirsch or someone with lots of money ( ) gets some and says they are the greatest cables ever I will seriously consider them.

most expensive one yet just got posted http://cls.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls....ntr&1087233999
Dark,
I know what you mean--with the Grovers priced as nicely as they are, I have a hard time rationalizing spending more on cables. I certainly never thought $190 worth of DIYFSE speaker cable would better AZ Hologram Bi-wires ($1200) in my system but in a nutshell: I've got no plans of upgrading speaker cables anytime soon.
I can't wait to read the reviews on these new commers though! (hint hint)

Man, you guys are absolute cable whores!
I really like my Cardas neutral reference ICs and BMI Gold pinnacles. But I'm gonna try some of the Grover silver reference you guys are raving about. I'm also trying to see if I can get a set of shotgun biwire speaker cables from Grover. I'm waiting for his reply on that. He had initially recommended just running the single cable and use silver jumpers.

I think the proper term would be cable sluts.

OMG.........Eximus spkeaker cables and power cords have been added to Audiogon line-up.
If I were to get one of the EXIMUS cables I would like to try this:
Bogdan
The gold/silver IC would give you a "taste" of gold while keeping price much lower than all gold........still more than I would like to spend for ICs

Hirsch.........come forward.
I read in another thread where you have gold/silver version of Bogdan silver spirit IC. Got e-mail recently from Bogdan cable saying I must hear this and I would be very impressed......exactly what I fear since cost is almost $500 pair.
How about a mini review or brief impressions of how gold/silver compares to all silver BSSR cables.
Also are you ready to purchase DLP/LCD big screen TV?

I've been auditioning most of Bogdan's line, and am preparing a full review. The short version:
The Gold/Silver Spirit is the standout cable of the line. It keeps all the detail of the Silver Spirit (perhaps more), but adds a fuller and more three-dimensional midrange. Bass is wonderful with these. IMO the Gold/Silver is a major upgrade over the Silver alone. I'll have a lot more to say in a full review.
I'm sticking with my rear projection CRT for now. A friend of mine has a front projector though. Can't beat the 100" screen...
