Going between two IC's, need help deciding which would be better. I have a feeling it wouldn't be much of a difference, but oh well. Both are @ one foot. Precision Stereo Audio Cables from Blue Jeans Cable (LC-1)
vs
Mogami high definition mini quad w/ Switchcraft RCA connectors
I want to go with the latter because it's cheaper and looks better, but just want to make sure.
Get whatever's cheaper. Mogami is fine cable, and BJC, while making very good cable, isn't really necessary unless we're talking broadcast-level environments (ultra-high EMI and RF in the air).
Some very robust cables with nice shielding for a very low price can be had at monoprice. Their cables are amazing, and the quality you get is surprisingly nice (very solid build quality, hefty, nice large plugs, etc).
Whichever route you go, I would suggest pinching down the RCA tip slightly with some pliers to create an oval shape. That'll make a nice tight connection with whatever you're plugging into, which is going to be the most noticeable effect of any cable really (it won't fall out all the time).
