Default Made too many bids on eBay, problem resolved

Two bids either cancelled or ended so I'm fine now...

Wow, you fail. You know, you don't have to pay for an ebay auction. You will just piss people off. Don't most people have bank accounts linked with their paypal that the paypal draws from? Or a backup credit card? Just retract the bids, in any case. There's a place on ebay to retract them. Easy.

Your behaviour is mouth-agape daft. To use the roundabout phraseology.

A bid is a legal contract to fullfill the obligation to pay up to and including your maximum amount. If you don't have the money and can't or want pay, then get ready for some negative feedback. Don't bid on things which you can't afford. You should have bid on the item that finished first, and if you lost, moved onto bidding on the second.

You shouldn't be able to take out a paypal account without some means of funding it? Bank account link or credit/debit card link?

Frankly I think this kind of foul up is so fundamental it ought to be mentioned in any feedback thread you have here.

Yeah, that's pretty ghetto. New to ebay much? You can't just throw down bids risk free on multiple things of the same variety that you want.

Yes, it was my first time using eBay. I made an honest mistake, I'm just glad it's cleared up now.

Sure sounds suspicious...!
Do not bid on items you do not want or can afford to buy. Simple as that.

Nothing suspicious, and I didn't realize that I couldn't remove a max bid on one item if I won another.

Then you should have read the guidelines and terms of service when you set up your account. They make it pretty clear that your bid is a binding contract.

The biggest problem is that I see would be price-hiking by a third-party member. Now, I'm sure that you weren't doing that, but regardless, it is very bad form to bid on something you can't afford.
/end adding to the choir of voices.
