Just wondering about interconnect cable choices and materials

Edit: I also use some Monster Cables, Interlink 400 Mk II mini to L&R TS for Dac to Active monitors. I'm gonna make the same cable in Mogami for comparison soon.

Sorry if I have created any confusion, since the original poster was talking about a iPod type connector. I have had interconnects build--usually XLR. I don have one Canare 1/8" mini to mini, but haven't had a Mogami 1/8" built yet.

I was merely commneting on the noticable superiority or
Moagmi 2534 cable over Canare Star Quad for interconnects. The Jena wire will also be for XLR interconnects, athough if I have some wire left over I may see about doing a iPod 1/8" cable of 6" or so.

No confusion here, just noticed in your profile that you had some various Monster Cables (who knew). That part of my post was just a side note, however the part about braiding and Cryo wire is for my Nano to Predator IC. I already use a straight piece of Mogami 2534 wire for my current portable IC and do find a noticable improvement especially in the bottom end. I just wondered if you braid the Mogami 2534 or just use it in the original sheath, as some here claim that braiding has a positive effect on SQ. I'm still doing a Mogami IC between the Predator and Event Monitors, and have plans for a Mogami 2536 Re-cable when I'm finished putting Proline 650 drivers into HFI-450 shells, bottom line is, does the braid help any at all? and with any length or type of IC? or just leave it in the original insulation.
