That's a guide. It poses no reasons to actually do it.
Hmmmm...... But if recabling all this products makes such a huge difference, Why don't the creators use them?
Sure, people are now going to say "OMGORZ IT WILL COST THEM MOREZ!"
But if it really improved the sound so much, it would easily bump the product up in price class. So they could actually have more profit.
the table is built to a price point, not SOTA. bumping up the price would result in a loss of sales for people who do not wish to spend the extra cash for a more expensive item.
Let me ask you this, where HAVE you looked? I have yet find a company that doesn't include some sort of MBG.
You mean you have yet to find a dealer who doesn't offer a MBG.
I'm more interested in vendors that stand behind the products they manufacture with written policies. And I challenge you to find one on any of the manufacturer sites below:

Maybe I am not understanding what you are looking/asking for.
I bought a pair of Audioquest interconnects a month ago, and they included a 30-day MBG from AudioAdvisor. I decided to return the Audioquest interconnects, and get another one.
It cost me the price of the cable, they shipped to my home, I gave them a try, and found them not worth it. So, I requested a return authorization number, and sent my package back to them. Four days later, I was refunded my money.
To me, this constitutes as a "in home trial", as they refunded my money, no questions asked.
The dealer may offer the satisfaction warranty, but there is no place on some of those manufacturers websites, that offers such a deal...and some of them sells directly...
Some of them offer a restocking fee, in the case of Pear for example 10%, how much is a 10% of $1,200.00? $120.00 so that means that we have to pay $120.00 just to try their products...thanks!!!!

I do love the Edition 9, and probably you know what that means, so you have been warned...!!!
Disclaimer: Please assume every single of my statements, to mean: “in my system”, “to my ears”, "in my experience", “in my opinion”, etc...(otherwise stated).
Neutrality, accuracy? OK, just ask yourself first: Do you certainly know how the recording is supposed to sound? Sorry, but for me euphony is all about!!! Please do yourself a favor, stop listening your gear, and enjoy the music instead!!!
Home setup: Sony DVP-NC555ES => BJC IC's => RPX-33 MKII/RPX-31 => UE9
"On the go" setup: Panasonic SL-CT570 => XJ-03 => Sleek SA6/Klipsch Images X5/X10
Proved that despite its huge size, the CD3K can be shoved down one's throat...wait...but now I'm shoving the Ultrasone Edition 9???
EQUIPO HEAD-FI HISPANO: DILE ADIOS A TUS AHORROS!!!

So then purchase them for a vendor, like I did.
I think paying $120 for a product you don't want is better than selling it used, and loosing even more money.
I will continue to support those vendors/re-sellers who offer a MGB and no-stocking fee's. Then, I have a chance to try it in my home for nothing.
Easy fellas. Look, all I really wanted to know was why a company who supposedly invests a fair amount of detail into the making of their products, would seemingly limit the variable output possibilities that different types of IC's could produce by using the most standard (and cheap) type of non replaceable (short of opening up the TT and soldering your own connections) wires ?
Just seems contrary to the notion that all the other highly praised pieces of hardware which reside in the TT (speaking of any TT in general now) are supposed to make that much of a difference when in the end, the signal is being sent through a piece of the chain which people claim can have a significant impact on the overall SQ. I dunno, just seems like somewhere, there's a flawed perception of what's really going on IMO.
As for spending $120 to audition $1200 cables, that seems like a ridiculous notion to me, regardless of how wealthy someone may be. Sure, throw money away if you'd wish, but you can bet that someone who's rich didn't get that way by doing such things ! (well, unless you come from old money and have no regard for your wealth)
Interestingly, I only wanted to know this information because I was wondering if it would be a really bad idea to put my TT in such a place that it would require me to buy an RCA adapter in order to extend the TT's range with yet another longer set of plain ol' RCA cables. Obviously then, according to this conversation, it makes a rats ass of a difference other than spending a stupid amount of money on boutique cables for an already determined sonic signature (because of the original non replaceable cables). The reasons for the extension are of a different subject matter, for another thread of course.

Most all CD players have cheapo factory interconnects.
All the recent cd players I have owned come with very cheapo interconnect cables from the factory, and that includes the Rega Saturn and the Cambridge 840c...what a disappointment to see such cables!
