A quick question: for a Sony DVP-NC650V player, Porta Corda amplifier, and Ultrasone HFI-650 headphones, what would I need to hook them all up? I know nothing about cables, sorry.

You'll need an RCA -> 1/8" (mini) audio cable. You can find these at Radio Shack for probably under $5. The cable should have two male prongs on one side and only one on the other, with the single prong looking just like the headphone plug on most portable headphones.

Thanks Dan!!!!

Just thinking...Is there much to be gained in buying a more expensive cable than one from Radioshack?

Okay, I just want to make sure on this...

For hooking an amp up to a home CDP I would just need a pair of interconnects, and for a portable CDP I would need a mini to RCA, right? No cables come with the amp, right? Headroom has a ton of these, would you recommend getting one from there or just picking up cheap Radioshacks? I guess it's willing on how much I'm willing to pay. Let's just just say I sort of forgot to budget this in

A portable CD player has a mini (1/8") output -- some have a dedicated line out (it will be marked as such on the unit) whereas others just use the headphone jack. The cable termination needed is the same. For a portable you will need a mini -> mini cable. For a home CD player you will need an RCA -> mini cable. Just walk into Radioshack and ask an employee and that person will be sure to help you out just fine. You don't need a fancy cable for a Porta Corda.
