Default hifi...right forum? heh

not sure if this is the right place but my hifi is dying i need a replacement.

im thinking of a CD player thing and 2 speakers.

i have a budget, not sure what it is but i wanna see the best cheaper cd-player thingy and speakers i can get which can also drive my A900s.

my budget..? ermm.. maybe around ..300? thats a LOT to me.. actually 250 is much better..but still a LOT

I think you should ask about a good source(cd player) in the dedicated source forum. Also, try checking the featured reviews there(&here) and using the search button. About an amplifier/speakers, I guess this is the right place... (I'm sorry, dont know much about speakers, just wanted to point you in the right direction bout the cd player).

For 250-300 I do not think you can get much in the way of separate speakers, amp and CD player. I would instead look at one of the many mini systems that are out there. I got my wife one for our bedroom and she is quite pleased with the sound.

yeah that would be cool i just need something OK .. something better than JVC or stuff liek that... i haev a JVC, which has been running for 1 yr and 1/2? and its skipping tracks and stuff. relaly bad.

any recommendations on a mini thingy?

The little one we have is AIWA, Sony also makes some systems in your range. A trip to Best Buy or Circuit City to listen to them would be worthwhile. Bring your own CD to listen to.
