Default equalizer help.

hey everyone i just got me some new bx8a's from m-audio(not the deluxe verison) and i really love them but when i play music over half volume the mids/highs kinda start bottoming out so i was wondering what i can do to make it not bottom out when i play my music loud. when i adjust my eq on itunes it gets a tiny bit better but then the bass becomes to loud so i was wondering if anyone had any idea on how i should adjust it? i listen to house/electro with some rock tossed in there. thanks for your time

When you say bottoming out, what happens with the speakers? You may be pushing them to their limit, and if that's the case, the only solution is to buy new speakers that can handle louder volumes.
