how do you find this cable with classical/orchestra type music? im noticing a tad bit of muddy-ness on quick bass strums.
It might be just my recording though, just wondering how you guys found this cable to be with this type of music.
I'm not listening to classical/orchestra so I can't say. But I've had no problems with some fast paced music including double basses and stuff like that.
I changed my tubes around alittle to see how it effected the sound. I swapped my Valvo 6080 for a GE 6080 and while it does control the quick plucks alittle better there is still a hint of muddiness.
Im going to see how it pans out with some different music choices.
Even still, im really enjoying the cable. Its certainly a nice difference from the stock thats for sure.
For anyone coming to can jam. I will have all this with me for people to listen to.

I'm very interested in your findings, but don't like the "muddiness" , hope it has nothting to do with the cable. I'm thinking about buying one myself.
I've tried pretty much all cables for the HD650. The two which are my favorite are the APS V3 and the SAA Equinox. The Oracle is a fantastic cable - particularly commendable for how thin, flexible, non-curling and non-microphonic it is. Certainly opened up the Senns, though a little less than the APS or SAA.

its really not bad and you will only notice it with certain music.
I noticed it with Stone Temple Pilots Core. I might be the recording though.

What about the RAL cables, I read some good reviews about them, but stumbled upon quite a few negative sales experiences.

Sales/customer service issues aside, the problem I feel with the RAL cables was that they change the sound signature too much. With the SAA/APS/Oracle, the inherent HD650 sound remains in-tact but greatly enhanced, albeit it at varying levels with each. The RAL tends to accentuate different characteristics to that which the HD650 is known for which is IMO too vast a change.
