I went ahead and bought them. They sound OK. Not very much bass. Unlistenable without my subwoofer. Somewhat dry sounding. Worst of all, they have been causing me listener fatigue. I tried different combinations of cables, preamps, and sources, but they just get tiring to listen to after a short period of time. I did tone it down some with some very mellow tubes in the preamp, but it didn't cure the problem. I'm sure other people probably have had different results, but that was what they were like for me. I'm going to return them. Still would be interested in hearing other people's opinions.
