Default Does replacement headphone cable make difference if using extension cable?

Does a replacement headphone cable make a difference if using a headphone extension cable?

Would the extension cable cancel out or void the improvement made by the upgraded headphone replacement cabe?

I'm not convinced a replacement cable is worthwhile in this case.

The general thought is that a system is only as strong as its weakest link. If you have a good quality extension, or perhaps a very short one, than I would say it's worth it. If you extension is crappy or perhaps very long, than it's a little more risky.
